Poster: Brace Yourself
Like most of us, Bananarama have been responsible for the occasional 'crime against fashion'. It's not their fault though. Take one moment to think about the pop stars who were performing back in the eighties. Most of them should have been locked away in a padded 'Fashion' cell for wearing such hideous excuses for clothes (I'm looking at you, Captain Sensible, if you're reading this!)
Of course, Fashion Jails wouldn't be as severe as normal prison conditions. My idea of a Fashion Jail would be where the inmates are forced to wear Primark clothes that are 2 sizes too small, whilst being forced to drink sub-standard cocktails perpared by a less than efficient barman.. It would be a re-education facility where Su Pollard performs 'We're Starting Together' twenty times a day. It would be torture! Mu ha ha ha ha!

Bananarama - 'Now or Never' EP
Bananarama's brand new EP, 'Now or Never' has made its way on Amazon' MP3 store and iTunes!
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. Now or Never
2. La La Love
3. Moves Like Jagger
4. Now or Never (Extended Mix)
Of course, 'Moves Like Jagger' is a cover of the Maroon 5 song, but this version is very electronic and an interesting spin of the massive global hit!
All of the songs have been produced by the fabulous Ian Masterson, who of course produced 'Viva' amongst other tracks.

A British Sensation...
"A British Sensation". That's how Jeremy Kennedy describes Bananarama in his super complimentary written piece on examiner.com
It's refreshing when a writer acknowledges Bananarama's achievements in their amazing 30 year career. Jeremy also points out that the October tour is their first in the US (albeit a much smaller affair this time) since 1989, which was when the ladies were on their 'world tour'.
Sky Sports F1 commentator @CroftyF1 had a very interesting flight back home. Earlier today he tweeted the following:

Bananarama at the Singapore Grand Prix!
Last night Bananarama performed at the Singapore Grand Prix to an enthusiatic crowd. According to the Straits Times , Keren was her usual cheeky self, flirting with the dancers and even playfully slapping Sara's bottom at one point during their set.
Another website recalls Keren joking about how one of their dancers was only 19 years old, and that for him, it was like he was “dancing with his mums”!
Apparently the setlist was:

Smash Hits snippet!
I love the use of the word 'cavorting', which isn't used enough in journalism in my opinion.
This gem was from 1982.
I've also just a read a brief little Bananarama piece (no pictures or quotes) from another edition. It was competition results and the winners won signed inflatable Banana's of all things! Can you imagine that happening these days? I don't think anyone would enter it. A signed iPad and perhaps a gold plated Banana would be the modern equivalent, I guess. Aww.... I miss Smash Hits!
Pinktober!
Here is another new photo of Bananarama, but this wearing a lovely Pinktober 2012 T-Shirt: https://rockshop.hardrock.com/Lifestyle/Shop%20for%20Good/product/HRO_Wmns_Pinktober_2012_Vneck_Oatmeal/
